Because like the idea of democracy and being a liberal, the concept of all of that and what you are suggesting is a great idea and would make the world a better place, but unfortunately in reality, it will never happen because all humans are not capable of such. The conflict between the two religions is a violent cycle that will never cease because they care too much about it. It is simple human nature.
